Frequently asked questions
A question before you order? Here are the answers to the questions our customers ask most often — straight talking.
🦵 Will it work on MY knee?
"I have patellofemoral pain syndrome (runner's knee). Is it suitable?"
That's exactly what the strap was designed for. Placed just below the kneecap, it applies targeted pressure to the patellar tendon and reduces the pull that causes pain each time you bend.
"What about arthritis?"
Let's be clear: the strap does not treat arthritis. No accessory does. It works mechanically, by spreading the pressure on the joint when you walk, take the stairs or stand for a long time. Many people with arthritis use it for those moments. If you have a diagnosed condition, talk to your GP or physiotherapist — and try the strap: you have 60 days to get a refund if it does nothing for you.
"Worn meniscus, fluid on the knee, ligaments: does it work?"
The strap supports the patellar tendon. It does not replace treatment, rehabilitation or surgery. For these conditions it may add comfort, but it is not a solution in itself. Ask your healthcare professional before using it.
"Can I run with it?"
Yes. The strap is thin and can be worn under trousers or leggings without restricting movement. It's a common use: brisk walking, running, hiking, cycling.
"Is it suitable for larger legs or knees?"
The strap adjusts with a hook-and-loop fastening along its whole length: you set the tension and the fit to your leg. If it still doesn't sit properly on your knee, the 60-day guarantee applies and you get a refund.
"I already wear a knee brace. Should I put the strap over it?"
We advise trying the strap on its own first. The strap acts on one precise point, where it pulls, instead of squeezing the whole knee.
🎯 Why a strap rather than a knee brace?
A classic knee brace compresses the whole joint. That's useful in some cases, but it's often hot, bulky, and slips after a few hours. The patella strap does just one thing: it sits below the kneecap and releases the tension on the patellar tendon. It's a principle long used by physiotherapists and athletes. Less material, less heat, targeted action.
📦 Order and delivery
"How long will it take to arrive?"
Allow 2 working days for preparation, then 7 to 15 working days for delivery. We ship from our partner warehouses: that's what lets us offer Buy 1 Get 1 FREE rather than the price you'd pay at the chemist. You receive a tracking number as soon as the parcel leaves.
"I ordered the Buy 1 Get 1 FREE offer and received only one strap."
Your items may leave from two different warehouses and arrive in two parcels a few days apart. If the second one doesn't arrive, email us at contact@kneelia.co.uk: we'll send it to you.
"Which countries do you deliver to?"
The United Kingdom. Prices include VAT; there is nothing to pay on delivery.
"My payment was declined, what happens?"
No money is taken if a payment is declined. It's usually a check by your bank (3D Secure). Try again, or email us: we'll help you complete your order.
